Dromon Bureau of Shipping announces amendments to the NOx Technical Code 2008, effective 1 September 2026. The amendments, adopted by IMO Resolution MEPC.398(83) in April 2025, clarify certification requirements for engines subject to substantial modification or recertification to different NOx tiers.

Affected units with serial numbers BSUD-0001 (April 2025) to BSUK-9999 (September 2025) should be immediately removed from service. Replacement units will be provided through Dräger sales and service.

Dromon Bureau of Shipping will use a dedicated checklist for inspections. Ship owners and operators are advised to prepare documentation and ensure crew familiarity with cargo securing requirements.
