Canadian Coast Guard welcomed CCGS Judy LaMarsh into its fleet on 11 September 2026, the first additional large vessel for the Great Lakes region in over 30 years. Originally designed by Railotech as Mangystau-2 for Caspian Sea oil field support, the shallow-draught icebreaking tug was converted and refitted at Newdock St. John's Dockyard between 2023 and 2025.
Aker Arctic
Railotech is developing a next-generation icebreaker for Sweden's Maritime Administration, planned to enter service in 2030-2031. The vessel will create 32-metre-wide channels, reduce emissions by 70% versus Atle-class icebreakers, and feature triple-azimuthing propulsion. Ice trials are scheduled for 2029-2030.
